Overview
The Arcviewport Atlas is a single-file internal tool for the Arcviewport architectural practice. It runs entirely in the browser — no installation, no server, no login required. Every tool lives in the Reference Panel below as its own app — tap a tile to open it, and use the back button to return to the grid.
A Word of the Day
A date-seeded architectural term drawn from the full Arch Dictionary, shown at the top of the Arch Dictionary app. Changes automatically at midnight without any server — the same word shows for everyone on the same day.
1Open the Arch Dictionary app — the term and definition display at the top.
2The counter shows the term's position in the full dictionary (e.g. #990 / 6,109).
3Click Jump to entry ↓ to filter the list straight to that word.
⬡ Layer Reference
The full Arcviewport layer naming standard for AutoCAD, Revit, and Rhino. Includes layer name, colour hex, lineweight, linetype, and description.
1Use the search bar to filter by layer name, category, or description keyword.
2Click category pills to filter by discipline (Architectural, Structural, MEP…).
3Tick the checkbox next to any layer to add it to the selection.
4Use ✓︎ Select All to select every visible (filtered) layer at once.
5Click ↓ Export All to download the full layer set as a Rhino Python script (.py).
6Click ↓ Export Selected to export only the ticked layers.
⌘ Rhino Commands
A searchable reference of Rhino 8 commands and aliases used by the practice, grouped by category.
1Type in the search bar to filter by command name, alias, or description.
2Click a category pill to filter by workflow (Modelling, Annotation, File & IO…).
3The table shows: Shortcut / Alias · Full Command · Description.
Ab Abbreviations
Standard architectural and construction drawing abbreviations used across Arcviewport documents and drawings.
1Search by abbreviation or full term using the search bar.
2Filter by category (General, Structural, Materials…) using the pills.
📖 Arch Dictionary
A comprehensive architectural terminology dictionary with over 6,000 entries spanning all periods and building types.
1Search for any term in the search bar — results update as you type.
2Click any entry to expand the full definition.
3The Word of the Day card at the top shows today's featured term.
◐ Colour Tools
A colour picker and palette reference including the Arcviewport brand palette and standard RAL / NCS colour codes.
1Use the colour picker to select any colour and get its Hex, RGB, and HSL values.
2The Arcviewport palette section shows brand-approved colours with copy-to-clipboard.
3Click any swatch to copy the hex code directly.
✎ Notes
A persistent freeform text pad that auto-saves in your browser. Use it for quick calculations, meeting notes, or anything you need to keep handy during a session.
1Type directly in the notes area — content auto-saves to your browser every few seconds.
2Click Export to download your notes as a .txt file.
⊞ Grid Paper
Generate printable A4 grid paper at any scale — isometric, square, or dot grid — directly in the browser.
1Select grid type: Square, Isometric, or Dot.
2Set the grid spacing and line weight using the controls.
3The preview updates live. Click ↓ Print / Save PDF to open the browser print dialog.
✦ Writing Tools
AI-powered writing assistant for client-facing documents. Paste any draft text and choose a rewrite style — the tool polishes tone and clarity while keeping your meaning.
1Paste your draft text into the input box.
2Select the rewrite style (Professional, Formal, Concise…).
3Click Rewrite — the AI rewrites the text and displays the result.
4Click Copy to copy the rewritten text to your clipboard.
⚠ Requires an active internet connection. Uses the Groq AI API.
∑ Calculators
Four calculators built for architectural use: a standard calculator, an area calculator, a stair calculator, and a scientific calculator.
1Standard: Basic arithmetic — use keyboard or on-screen buttons.
2Area: Enter dimensions (length × width) in mm, m, or ft to get area in m² and ft².
3Stair: Enter floor-to-floor height and preferred riser height — the tool outputs the number of risers, tread depth, and going, checked against UK Building Regs.
4Scientific: Full trig, log, and power functions for structural and geometric calculations.
◫ Part 107
A quick-reference sheet for FAA Part 107 operating rules — altitude and speed limits, weather minimums, airspace authorization, remote pilot requirements, and accident reporting thresholds. Reference only; always verify against the current regulation.
▦ Floor Plan
Draw a wall outline and place electrical symbols to map outlets, switches, and other devices to circuit breakers.
1Use Draw Wall and click-drag to lay down wall segments. Endpoints snap to a grid and near-straight lines snap to 45°.
2Pick a symbol from the palette (Outlet, GFCI, 220V, Switch, Light, Panel, Data, Smoke) and click the plan to place it.
3Switch to Select / Edit, click a symbol to change its type or type its circuit/breaker label — the schedule on the right updates automatically.
4Manage multiple plans (house, garage, etc.) with + New, Rename, and Delete Plan. Everything saves automatically to this browser.
◉ Focus Timer
A Pomodoro-style countdown timer with 5, 15, 25, 50, 90, and 125 minute presets. Helps structure focused work sessions and short breaks.
1Pick a preset length, then click START to begin the countdown.
2Click again to pause, or use the ↺ button to reset to the current preset.
3An alert sounds when the session ends. Completed 25-minute sessions are counted below the timer.
